Do people actually believe this crap?!

Have you heard about a basketball player back in the ’90s who was beating Michael Jordan for six years in a row? Did you know that he started playing in his 20s, but he was working for years so hard that not even Jordan could beat him? Do you know his name?

Such a player because he doesn’t exist!

Talent vs. hard work

I am a big believer in hard work. Without effort in life, you will not make any progress. For example, if you want to get dressed and go out, you have to put in some effort.

Many things in life take only some practice. Depending on the activity, you will need more or less time to get good at it. Like putting on your shoes or socks. But for any success in life, hard work is not enough. You have to have a talent for it and at least like (if not love) doing it.

Whenever someone quotes that famous saying “Hard work beats talent any day”, I call BS!

You could work as hard as humanly possible for years, 24/7/365 and you will never be close to Jordan! Or Tom Brady. Or Djokovic. Or Picasso. Or da Vinci. They are who they are because of God-given talent + a lot of hard work.
